I provide individual counselling to adults & youth (aged 12 and above) and am currently accepting new clients.
My work as a therapist is grounded in years of hands-on experience supporting individuals and families through trauma, crisis, and complex life situations, long before I entered private practice. These experiences have deeply shaped how I show up in my work as a therapist today.
What this means for you is that I understand, in a very real and practical way, how complicated life can get. I’m comfortable sitting with intensity, uncertainty, and the kinds of challenges that don’t have quick or easy solutions. You don’t have to simplify your story or have things “figured out” before coming to therapy—we can start exactly where you are. Overall, my goal is to offer a space that feels grounded, honest, and supportive—where you can begin to make sense of what you’ve been through, and start to move forward in a way that feels both manageable and meaningful.
My work is also rooted in the belief that healing doesn’t happen in isolation. The experiences we’ve had, the systems we’re part of, and the relationships we’re in all play a role in how we cope and move forward. Because of this, I take a broader, more holistic view of the challenges you’re facing.
In addition to emotional and relational work, I also bring a strong background in case management and system navigation. When needed, I can help you problem-solve real-life challenges, connect with resources, and reduce some of the external stressors that may be impacting your well-being. For many clients, this kind of practical support can make a meaningful difference in feeling more stable and supported overall.
I have additional expertise and a background in Trauma, Neurodiversity, Brain Injury Rehabilitation, Traumatic loss, Grief & Bereavement, Palliative care, Anxiety & Depression, Substance Misuse, Crisis, Suicide Intervention/Stabilization, Family & Relationship support bring an extensive background supporting parents and children with complex needs including developmental disabilities.
I have received formal training in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Trauma-Informed practices, Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), Polyvagal (“Bottom-Up”) approaches for nervous system regulation, Mindfulness, Grief, Bereavement & Traumatic loss. I have also completed Janina’s Fisher’s Level 1 Complex Trauma Certification Training and am currently completing Level 2.
I am a Masters level Registered Social Worker & Psychotherapist who provides counselling across Ontario. I earned an Honours Bachelor of Social Work from Laurentian University and my Master of Social Work degree from Wilfrid Laurier University.
I am a couples and individual therapist that specializes in helping people make sense of their relationship patterns and challenges. My work focuses on communication, conflict, and the deeper patterns that shape how we show up in our relationships—especially when things feel stuck, strained, or hard to repair. I support couples and individuals working through a wide range of challenges, including betrayal and affair recovery, parenting stress, and the transition into or adjustment to parenthood.
I also work with couples navigating more complex and layered situations, such as infertility, grief and loss related to family planning, and the impact of raising children with complex needs or mental health challenges. A meaningful part of my work also includes supporting first responder couples, as well as couples where there are co-occurring mental health or neurodivergence factors, such as trauma, PTSD, OCD, and ADHD. My style is warm, engaged, and very real. I’m not a stiff or overly clinical therapist, and I don’t think therapy has to feel that way in order to be effective. I show up as a human in the room, and I make space for honesty, humour, and the kinds of conversations that actually lead to change.
I have additional certification and training in the Gottman Method for Couples Therapy, Terry Real’s Relational Life Therapy for Couples, Sex Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Prolonged Exposure Therapy for PTSD, Infant & Children’s Mental Health, Women’s Reproductive Heath (Postpartum Anxiety, Postpartum OCD, Miscarriage, Infertility & Loss), Brain Injury Rehabilitation, Anxiety, Depression as well as Crisis & Suicide Intervention/Stabilization.
