Life’s hardest moments rarely affect just one person—they ripple through families, friendships, and the relationships that matter most.

Perhaps you’ve experienced a traumatic event, the sudden loss of someone you love, a serious accident, or years of carrying the weight of complex trauma. Maybe you’re trying to support a child, partner, parent, or sibling living with anxiety, depression, addiction, or thoughts of suicide, and you’re finding yourself overwhelmed, exhausted, or unsure of how to help while also caring for yourself.

These experiences can change how we communicate, how we connect with one another, and even how we see ourselves.

I work with youth (12+) and adults who are navigating trauma, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, life transitions, and the impact these experiences have on individuals and families. While I provide individual therapy, I also support parents, caregivers, partners, and family members who are looking for guidance as they navigate the emotional challenges of supporting someone they love. Together, we can explore healthier ways of communicating, strengthen relationships, and help you feel more confident in responding to difficult situations with compassion and understanding.

Long before becoming a therapist, I spent years supporting individuals and families through crisis, catastrophic motor vehicle accidents, brain injury rehabilitation, traumatic loss, palliative care, and complex mental health challenges. Those experiences taught me that healing isn’t just about what happened to us—it’s also about how those experiences shape the people and relationships around us.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that healing happens through connection. Therapy offers a place to slow down, make sense of what you’ve been carrying, better understand the patterns that have developed over time, and begin creating new ways of relating to yourself and the people who matter most.

I also recognize that healing doesn’t happen in isolation from everyday life. Alongside therapeutic support, I bring extensive experience helping people navigate complex systems, access community resources, and manage practical challenges that often accompany trauma, illness, caregiving, or significant life changes.

My work is informed by specialized training in Complex Trauma, Neurodiversity, Brain Injury Rehabilitation, Grief and Bereavement, Palliative Care, Crisis Intervention, Family Support, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy (EFIT), Polyvagal-informed approaches, and Janina Fisher’s Complex Trauma model. I have also completed training in Relational Life Therapy (RLT), further strengthening my work with relationship dynamics, communication, boundaries, and creating healthier, more connected relationships.

Whether you’re healing from your own experiences or supporting someone through theirs, you don’t have to navigate it alone. My hope is to provide a space where you feel understood, supported, and empowered to move toward healing—both within yourself and in your relationships.

I am a Master’s-level Registered Social Worker and Psychotherapist providing virtual counselling across Ontario.

Most individuals and couples don’t need more love—they need a different way of having the conversations they’ve been stuck in for months or even years. Healthy relationships aren’t built by finding the perfect partner. They’re built by learning new ways of showing up for each other, especially when life gets hard.

Maybe communication breaks down before either of you feels heard. Conflict escalates quickly, or one of you shuts down while the other pushes harder. Trust has been damaged after an affair. Parenting has shifted your relationship from partners to co-managers. Or perhaps the stress of shift work, family responsibilities, or old hurts keeps finding its way into your relationship, even when you’re both trying your best.

Whatever has brought you here, you’re probably looking for more than a place to vent. You want practical guidance. You want to understand why you keep getting caught in the same patterns, what might be contributing beneath the surface, and how to create something different.

That’s the work we do together.

My approach is active, collaborative, and grounded in Relational Life Therapy (RLT). Rather than sitting back and watching the same cycles repeat themselves, I’ll help you slow those moments down, recognize the “dance” the two of you have developed, and understand the role each of you plays in keeping that cycle going. Sometimes that means teaching healthier communication and conflict skills. Other times, it means uncovering the deeper experiences that continue to shape your relationship—whether that’s family of origin patterns, attachment injuries, trauma, burnout, neurodivergence, or mental health challenges that have never really been understood or addressed.

I believe that insight is important, but insight alone doesn’t create change. My goal is to help you leave each session with practical tools, new ways of approaching difficult conversations, and a clearer understanding of how to build the kind of relationships you want in your life. Therapy with me isn’t about assigning blame. It’s about compassionate accountability, learning new skills, and creating a healthier path forward.

While much of my work focuses on couples, I also work with individuals who want to better understand their relationship patterns, heal from difficult family experiences, strengthen communication, or create healthier connections in their personal and family relationships.

Relationships aren’t static—they’re constantly evolving. I enjoy helping clients navigate the many transitions that life brings, whether that’s becoming parents, adjusting to changing family roles, supporting aging parents, balancing demanding careers, retirement, or simply rediscovering one another after years of putting everyone else first. Every new season asks something different of a relationship, and therapy can help you navigate those changes with greater understanding, flexibility, and connection.

My clinical work is informed by advanced training in Relational Life Therapy (RLT), the Gottman Method, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Sex Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Prolonged Exposure Therapy for PTSD, Women’s Reproductive Mental Health, Infant and Children’s Mental Health, Brain Injury Rehabilitation, and Crisis & Suicide Intervention. This broad background allows me to recognize when communication struggles are only part of the story and when additional factors may be influencing the relationship.
